Failed Breaks and Where Invalidation Belongs
A brief print beyond a pattern boundary can reverse once deeper interest arrives. Thin breaks punish entries placed exactly at the edge without a plan for failure.
In our labs we ask learners to mark invalidation while they still like the pattern — not after the break has already failed. Location of the line should follow structure, not a round number habit.
If price re-enters the pattern quickly and stalls, treat that as a warning. Many textbook targets never apply because the pattern itself was never accepted.
Practise on historical packs before applying the idea live. Mark ten break attempts and note which ones held with constructive follow-through.
